We've all been dealing with some rough weather lately. From snow, freezing rain and dangerous temperatures it doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. According to Accuweather, some of the most extreme temps we've had in a while are heading our way Friday.

Actually, it will be colder in Rockford on Friday than in certain parts of Antarctica.

As of now, the forecast calls for a 55 percent chance of snow with a high in the 3-degree range but it will feel like it's around -2. In the evening we are looking at -11 and a Real Feel of -15. Last year on this date the high was 42 and the low was 22, so that is a pretty drastic change.

If you grew up here in the north cold temps are to be expected, but this is definitely much colder than the temps we have grown accustomed to. If you do go outside, make sure you're ready for the cold and dress accordingly, because we're dealing with some extremely frigid and dangerous temperatures. In all actuality, we might break records next week and it will only get colder.
