It's one of the first things families consider before moving into any community: Safety! Some towns are safer than others.

Homesnacks.net conducted a study of 291 Illinois communities with a populations of over 5000 to find out which towns are the safest for it's residents and visitors.

From the list of all Illinois rankings, we pulled out the top 10 here in Stateline and Northern Illinois.
