The ‘Most Famous Actor’ From Illinois Named – And It’s Not Who You’d Expect

Who knew the “most famous actor” from Illinois is someone that went to the same high school as I?

Not that it’s a big deal, I mean plenty of people have graduated from Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Jami Gertz, an actress and graduate of Maine East isn’t the most famous actor from Illinois.

Hilary Clinton, also a Maine East student who later transferred to Maine South isn’t at the top of the list either. Also, not an actor.

However, the “most famous actor” according to a recent study done by MSN, says Harrison Ford is the most famous from Illinois.

Ford, a 1960 Maine East graduate who is known worldwide for his roles in Indiana Jones and Star Wars movies has 75 total acting credits to his name and over 4M Wikipedia page views annually.

You see, that’s how MSN figured out who was “most popular” in each state. Ford, who has been working in movies for over 5 decades, must have a strong Wiki game because I wasn’t expecting that.

Almost as much as I wasn’t expecting to Harrison Ford named the “most famous actor” from Illinois.
