In the Dierks Bentley song "I Hold On". Dierks shares that he holds onto this old guitar that has a hole in it. As seen in this picture, it's true. I found that I'm similar to Dierks. I too have 'Hold Ons' in my life.

I still have a flannel shirt I wore in college. It's so worn out that the flannel is faded and the collar is ripping out but I love it and can't bare to throw it away. I also have a pair of Tinkerbell slippers my niece (she was barely 6 then) picked out and sent me for my birthday when I lived in TN. I also have 2 favorite coffee mugs. One of them is a mug my Mom gave me that has the meaning of my name. Its all chipped, so instead of drinking out of it I use it as a pen holder. The other is my giant Tinkerbell mug a friend gave me. This mug was my lifesaver when I worked an early morning shift at a station.  I drank coffee like it was going out of style then. Each of these items have special meaning to me and in a sense make up the type of person I am.

You can see for yourself how well they've held up as my 'Hold Ons'.

Just like Dierks song says:

"To the things I believe in
My faith, your love, our freedom
To the things I can count on
To keep me going strong
Yeah, I hold on, I hold on.

Like the stripes to the flag,
Like a boy to his dad
I can't change who I am, right or wrong
So I hold on."

Let me ask you, what are your 'Hold Ons' of life?
