After not making a stop near Rockford last year, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be coming to Byron in 2018.

According to the Canadian Pacific website, the Holiday Train will stop on Tower Road near Byron High School on December 2.

The train is scheduled to arrive at 12:45 p.m. and the event will run from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Trews and Willy Porter will also perform while the train is stopped.

If you live in or around Rockford this is probably your best chance to see the Holiday Train in 2018.

Remember to bring canned food donations. After all, the reason for the CP Holiday Train is to help restock food banks.

Canadian Pacific is also asking visitors to think twice about which canned foods to bring to the Holiday Train, that's why they've started the "healthy donations challenge." Find out more info on the challenge HERE.
