The 2016 Farmers' Almanac is now available, and this is how the editor, Peter Geiger; Philom sums up this winter's forecast: "Depending on where you live, and how much cold and snow you like, we have bad news and we have good news." Oh, great.

The first thing I saw when I looked up the Farmers' Almanac Winter Outlook for 2016 was this:

Gotta say, I'm not feeling too excited about seeing that. (To see the rest of the map go to farmersalmanac.com)  For the most part, the winter of 2015-2016 will be a repeat of last year. Much of the East Coast will be covered in snow and freezing; snowbirds will be soggy in Florida, and Californians will probably still be sunning themselves. For us Midwesterners, we'll see near-normal winter temperatures. So yeah, I guess the above graphic is correct. We will probably be "snow filled and frigid." That's alright, Mother Nature, we're Midwesterners and we're used to shivering. We're tough, and we totally got this.
