In a Winnebago County courtroom today a teen, suspected in the death of fourteen year old Jamario Crawford, plead guilty.

First degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm were the charges. They must have had him dead to rights because no defense attorney would advise pleading guilty in a case like this.

According to WIFR, "The Winnebago County State's Attorney's office says 17-year-old Coley Carwell pleaded guilty to first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm."

Prosecutors say Carwell shot Crawford in the 900 block of North Rockton Ave. back in November 2016. Carwell will be back in court on June 1, 2018 for sentencing, according to WIFR.
