Yesterday, I started feeling crumby. I had a sore throat. By the end of the work day my throat was still sore and my head, neck and back felt kind of achy.

I knew what I had to do. Push the liquids and double up in taking Elderberry tablets.

Seriously! Take Elderberry tablets for what ails you.

Elderberry is a simple berry and flower that can be found in most pharmacy vitamin isles or health food stores.

According to health-care-tips.org, "Elderberry's flower accommodate three very good sources of potassium plus viburnic acid (beneficial for asthma an bronchitis), vitamin A, vitamin C, volatile oils and bioflavonoids. Ripened elderberries can be used like some other berries in fruit pies, muffins, and jams. The dried flowers can also be steeped in water to prepare elderberry tea and the berries mashed to make elderberry juice. Elderberry helps to boost and maintain the immune & respiratory systems. Elderberry may be used to cure colds and flu."

Personally, I feel it's one of the best defenses to help fight off the ickies of colds, flu and even alleviating your allergies.

When I start feeling cruddy I double up on the taking the tablets. Instead of 2 a day I'll take 3. It may not cure the sore throat but it certainly speeds along the recuperation time.

Today, I'm feeling much better and my throat isn't sore.
