It was a magical year for the Chicago Cubs. Now, you can own a piece of that history.

There are some major changes that are coming to Wrigley Field, home of the World Champion Chicago Cubs (That does not kill me to say that). The changes are being made not on the field, but all around it.

As part of the 1060 Project, Wrigley Field is going thru a complete overhaul. That includes seats that are in the historic park.

The Cubs have removed sections of seats in the ballpark in 2015 and last year. They are now going to be on sale very soon. In fact, this Friday seats will be going on sale.

The price for one seat that was removed in 2015 is $799. If you want to own a piece of history from the magical year of 2016, then it will cost you $100 more at $899.

There are some rules that go along with it. According to the Chicago Cubs website:

"MLB-authenticated seats are available to purchase as a two-seat set only. Seat sets will be made available for purchase to Season Ticket Holders prior to the general public"

That means if you really want one, you might want to buddy up with a season ticket holder and go in together.

Then there is the issue of how you are going to receive the seats. You are not able to pick them up at Wrigley Field.

"The cost for shipping for addresses within the continental United States will be $132.99. Any purchases requiring shipment outside of the continental United States will require a separate shipping quote. To request a quote, please email wrigleyfieldseatsale@cubs.com."

That could cost a pretty penny if you happen to live in Russia.

Even though I am not a fan of the Cubs, it would still be a cool piece of history to have a seat from Wrigley. Just make sure you follow the safety rules.
