The "golden age of aviation" is coming to the Chicago/Rockford International Airport this weekend, and this is your chance to take flight aboard a vintage Ford 4-AT-E plane.

"Fly On The Ford" will be coming to Emery Air at Rockford's airport this Thursday through Sunday, (July 13-16) and it's your chance to take a ride on America's first mass produced airliner.

According to the EAA website, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity offers a 30 minute flight experience for up to 9 passengers at a time, with breathtaking photo ops of the air above Rockford. Children under the age of 2 can ride on a parent's lap, and any child 16 and under must be accompanied by a parent.

The cost for these Ford flights are $70 per person in advance ($75 for walk-up) and $50 for child 17 and under. A liability waiver will need to be signed before taking flight, and you can actually download the form when you reserve your flight time here.

Hope y'all enjoy the air up there...be sure to send us pictures afterward!
