17-year-old Stillman Valley Cheerleader Emily Fleming was killed in a car accident in September 2015, and now her high school family is set to honor her memory with the "Spread a Little Sunshine in Honor of Emily Fleming"  walk/run on May 1, 2016.

The Emily Fleming Memorial Walk/Run is being organized by the Stillman Valley High School Student Council and National Honor Society, and will be held at the high school on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 1 p.m.

The event will feature a 5K fun run, a 2 mile walk, family relays, and a silent auction and raffle in the school's gym from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Early registration is $20 per person or $60 per family and ends on Friday, April 22, 2016. Registration from April 23 through the day of the event will be $25 per person or $75 per family.

Money raised from this event will go towards scholarships for Stillman Valley High School seniors for years to come.
