Road crews will begin blocking off Spring Creek Road on Monday, September 19, 2016 as work begins on a sewer project.

The Public Works Department needs to replace a sewer line, and this project will affect traffic on Spring Creek Road for the next year. Westbound lanes on Spring Creek will be closed from the N 2nd St. on ramp to Alpine Road, leaving one lane of traffic each way on eastbound lanes.

According to WREX;

The city says if you can find a different way to get to work or school: do it. If not, leave earlier to make up for the expected traffic congestion.  Work isn't expected to be done on this project until late 2017.

WREX also says that the city is considering adding a multi-use bike path along with this project, but has not made a final decision yet.
