The Rockford Peaches are celebrating their 75th anniversary in a big way coming up in May.

WIFR shares that the Rockford women's baseball team is planning a 4 day celebration for their diamond anniversary.

What better way to celebrate this mile marker than with a diamond sized party.

Beginning on May 30th through the 3rd the International Women's Baseball Center has  planned several events over those four days with the first being the "Diamonds, Denim, and Stars" event at the Coronado."

Then on Friday, June 1st it's Rockford Peaches Day both downtown Rockford at the Rockford City Market and on State Street with a free showing of "a League of their Own" in Davis Park as part of their Friday Night Flix.

On Saturday, June 2nd there will be "['Baseball in the STEAM Zone' Family Day from
9am-Noon at Beyer Stadium that is free to attend.]"

Lastly on Sunday, June 3rd there is a "Home Run Derby and Closing Ceremonies from
8am to 6pm at Beyer Stadium" that is planned for the community.

They also have plans to have several celebrities appear during the four day celebration including Megan Cavanagh, who played Marla Hooch in "A League of Their Own".
