I'm not joking. The first big snow fall of the year is a possibility this week. Models indicate that the area we love and know as the Stateline (Illinois and Wisconsin boarder) could end up with a thick blanket of snow. How much?

According to NBC Chicago, the Chicago area could see its first big snowfall early next week with totals hovering around 3 inches.

Their preliminary forecast model generated Friday morning showed snowfall ranging from 0.5 inches in around Kankakee to as much as 4 to 6 inches around the Wisconsin/Illinois border on the ground late Monday night into Tuesday morning. That would be Metro Rockford too.

Hardest part of the weekend will be finding the snow shovel. Now where did I put it?
