Simple Trick to Repel Flies

I hate bugs. I especially hate bugs that buzz while flying. If something buzzes by my ear while I'm outdoors, I run first, and look to see what it was later from a safer distance. I think we can all agree that nothing ruins a backyard picnic or potluck faster than flies all up in your food, so I think this information will be beneficial as we head into Memorial Day weekend. 

Maybe you have seen it before, but I noticed this post for the first time today after a friend shared it on Facebook...

Seriously? Just hang some ziplock baggies filled with water and a few pennies and the flies are gone? Can something so easy really work? I'm still skeptical, so I had to check it out on snopes.com. It looks legit, so I am going to try it ASAP! Let me know if it works for you too.
