It looks like the weather is going to take a turn for the worst later this afternoon. The area is under a moderate risk for severe weather. According to the Storm Prediction Center in Oklahoma:

"Widespread damaging wind gusts with some greater than 70 miles per hour along with tornadoes and isolated large hail are expected this afternoon and evening."

This could be a dangerous situation if all the elements come into place. One of the most important things to do is have a plan in place in case of severe weather. Make sure you have supplies and a plan of action of where you are going if things become bad.

The timing of these storms are not yet exact, but sometime this afternoon could be the starting point. Keep listening to Q 98.5 for the latest severe weather coverage.
