Severe Thunderstorms a Strong Possibility this Afternoon

The potential for very severe thunderstorms will be with us this afternoon and this evening and travel could be rather tricky hazardous

The storm system is currently located in eastern Iowan and is moving due east. At it's present rate of travel, the system, if it hold together could move into the Freeport area between 4:30-5:30pm and be in the Rockford area between 5:00pm-6:00pm. The storm system  has winds in excess of 70mph, hail, and heavy rains.

There is a Tornado watch in effect for the Q98.5 listening area until 7pm ad a Flash Flood watch in effect until 1am Tuesday Morning
