It's gone. The famous Kyle Schwarber home run ball that landed on the Wrigley roof during the Cubs playoff game has been removed. The home run came in Game 4 of the NLDS. The Cubs won the game by a score of 6-4 over St Louis.

WGN-TV reports that the cubs removed the ball due to safety concerns. The team says the ball is safe in their possession. It has not been determined what to do with it at this time.

You will recall that the Cubs placed the ball under plexiglass. (see the video)

So what dies Schwarber think? According to WGN-TV:

He’s not too sentimental. He says the team can do anything they want with it
