Santa’s Village Announces New Foods and Rides for Opening Weekend
If you've been listening to 97ZOK for quite some time, you've probably heard a series of radio commercials that are sure to get stuck in your head all day...or you know every single work when it comes on.
For me, it's Santa's Village Azoosment Park in East Dundee. A-ho-ho-ho, a-zoo-zoo-zoo, Santa's Village and Azoooooosment Park is opening this weekend for you.
Well, the "opening this weekend for you" part I made up myself so I could bring you a very special announcement: it's opening weekend (they're opening a week early) for Santa's Village and according to the Chicago Tribune, they're debuting new food and rides.
Here's what you can expect this weekend:
- The first 250 children at the park on Saturday and Sunday will receive a free Big Souvenir Bouncy Ball.
- Colonial Cafe, home of the famous Kitchen Sink Sundea, is opening an ice cream parlor.
- Duke's Blues-N-BBQ will be serving authentic smoked barbecue.
- There will be a new kid-powered hand car ride; it relies on a hand crank to propel a train cart along the track.
A major expansion to the park is also expected to be unveiled next year.
Santa's Village opens tomorrow, Saturday May 6th, at 11 a.m.
