RPS 205 Announces Closures Ahead Of Dangerous Temperatures

Rockford Public Schools officially announced weather-related closings in anticipation of dangerous weather conditions coming in less than 24 hours.

Though behind other surrounding districts, Rockford has finally announced multi-day cancelations before the area will experience the coldest period in the city's recorded history. In a Facebook announcement, the post sighted "anticipated severe weather" will cause schools to cancel all after-school care, activities, and athletics.

Belvidere and Boone County have also announced closings.
