A locally produced zombie sitcom called "The Deadersons" has picked up some national attention and will beginning streaming for free on Amazon just in time for Halloween 2016.

The online sitcom "The Deadersons" has filmed all over the Rockford region, and the cast and crew began filming scenes for season 2 at the Nordlof Center in Rockford last weekend. The show is a kick back to the black-and-white wholesomeness of 50's/60's television with a fun zombie twist. It features local actors and is gaining huge popularity via their YouTube channel.

The shows creator, writer and makeup artist, Kris Williamson of Poplar Grove recently told the Rockford Register Star that the show is "lighthearted and family-friendly, with some social commentary".
