The Rockford Park District's Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens is on the short list of my favorite places to be in this city. My family makes it a point to check out each new attraction that comes to the Nicholas Conservatory, and before the holidays we went to see the Sinnissippi Station Model Garden Railroad Exhibit that was a new addition to their All Aglow exhibit this year.

My kids LOVED it, (my husband and I did too), and if you're currently kicking yourself for missing the opportunity to see it this year I have some good news for you...they have extended it's appearance through February 18, 2018!

According to a press release from the Rockford Park District;

Sinnissippi Station has given families the opportunity to interact with the Conservatory in a whole new way, and has brought many to the Conservatory for the first time. We are thrilled to extend the exhibit for patrons to create more memories and enjoy the tropics during the winter months. Seeing the trains weave through the natural plant material of the Conservatory is a not-to-be-missed experience.

Do yourself a favor and take your family to check it out sometime this month, you'll be so glad you did. Make sure to bring your ice skates too, because as of last Wednesday, the Conservatory's Eclipse Lagoon is now open for skating fun!
