Take your mind off the January weather woes by setting your sights on Summer with National Plan for Vacation Day on January 31, 2017.

It's a proven fact that we all work too hard and don't use all of the vacation time we are given by our employers. We've got too much to do...we can't afford to take time off or go anywhere... the excuses for why we don't use our vacation time go on and on, and it needs to stop. We all need to take a break, unwind, and re-charge our batteries or bad things could happen.

For many Rockfordians, a staycation is more budget friendly, so that is why the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is teaming up with Enjoy Illinois and Project: Time Off for a staycation info and planning event on January 31st:

What: National Plan for Vacation Day

When: Tuesday, January 31, 2017

Where: The Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau office located at 102 North Main Street in Rockford.
