Today is Inauguration Day in America, so it seems only fitting that tonight would be the inaugural show at Rockford's new all-ages music and event venue, Rockford Milkhouse.

Rockford Milkhouse is located right in the heart of downtown Rockford in the Pioneer Hall building at 121 S Madison St.  Renovations are almost complete, so tonight, January 20, will be the soft opening for the venue. The opening of the Milkhouse is significant for Rockford because it is proof that not only does our city have an awesome music scene, but it is booming as well.

The Rockford Milkhouse aims to not only support local talent, but give people of all ages a safe place to go and enjoy local music. The Milkhouse will feature music of all genres, but tonight's inaugural show will feature The Lizardman Experience, Name the Moon, Tundras, Jesus Correa, and DJ RCMP.  Yes, children of all ages are welcome at the Milkhouse, but keep in mind the place will be rockin' with loud music, so parents are encouraged to consider that when deciding who to bring to the show with them.

Tickets for tonight's show, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be available at the door, or you can buy them at Wired Cafe', Culture Shock and Guzzardo Performance Music.
