If your summer Fridays always involve a night spent at the Rockford City Market, then I'm sure you're no stranger to the deliciousness of Bella Luna Bakery.

If your mouth has never been treated to one of Bella Luna's Swedish Almond Crescent or Italian cookies, Lord, are you missing out!

Bella Luna Bakery got its start at Rockford City Market in 2010, and they have been enchanting this community with their delicious Italian and Scandinavian baked goods ever since. Bella Luna now has a storefront in Rockford's Stewart Square, and they have big plans for expanding their business even further...with some help from ABC's Shark Tank....hopefully.

According to the Rockford Register Star, Bella Luna's owners Polly Matranga Happach and Lorie Parker-Weinrich  "want to hire a store manager and employees so they can concentrate on baking and getting their products to a larger audience through retail and online sales".

Last Friday Bella Luna's owners were in Chicago for a 'Shark Tank' casting call, and they told the RRStar their first sales pitch to the show's producers went well and that the team received "positive feedback".

So...what's next? A waiting game, apparently. Bella Luna should hear if they made it to the next round of 'Shark Tank' casting calls in the next few weeks, and the ladies are asking Rockford to be their cheerleaders while they wait for good news...

Bella Luna, Rockford loves you and sending you all kinds of positive vibes and mojo!

Can't wait to hear what's next!
