Rockford Woman Leaves Kids In Car To Tan

This Rockford woman did the unthinkable while she went to tan in Loves Park. Now she is facing charges. Find out what she did here. 

According the The Rockford Register Star, Sarah N. Ames, 35, of Rockford was arrested around 7 p.m. after Loves Park Police were notified of three young children in a car unattended.

Apparently, she went tanning at Planet Fitness, 6333 North Second Street and left the children in the car. The car was running, windows down and doors unlocked.

Police found an 11-month-old boy, a 6-year-old girl and an 8 year-old girl inside the car. To add more charges against her, the woman was babysitting two of the children according to police.

Sarah N. Ames can be charged with endangering the life and health of a child by leaving any child under 6 unattended in a vehicle for more than 10 minutes.
