Rockford seems to have a lot of eyesores in the form of vacant buildings but a group of volunteers wants to change that. You've got to see the before/after pics of this building.

North End Square Neighborhood Association is sick of the blight, hence their "fight blight" campaign, which you can follow on Facebook. NESNA flipped the outside of an abandoned nursing home (pictured above) and made it look like artwork. The project took multiple days and a group of volunteers but was much worth the effort.

If every neighborhood in Rockford took one weekend to do this to a building in their area imagine the visually positive change all over the forest city.
