A Rockford substance abuse counselor has charged along with a woman after police say drugs were found inside their vehicle.

According to the Loves Park police department,  on Tuesday, July 7th, at about 4:30 PM an officer met with a man & a woman outside the Clayton House Motel, 4800 N. 2nd St.

During the meeting, the woman identified herself using her sisters name. The officer discovered that she was wanted for felony theft out of McHenry County. She was arrested for the theft.

During the investigation, an officer observed an item suspected of being used to ingest crack cocaine lying on the front passenger seat of the vehicle the two people the two individuals used to transport themselves to the hotel in. A search of the vehicle turned up other items of paraphernalia & suspected crack cocaine.

Tara L. Martoglio, 29, of Machesney Park was also charged with:

  • obstructing identification
  • possession of cocaine
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • prostitution

Glen R. Hamilton, 54,, of Rockford, identified himself to officers as a local substance abuse counselor, was charged with solicitation of a sexual act.
