Will you celebrate the official first day of summer with a twisted frapp?

While in Rockford, it seems like it's been summer for at least a month, today is officially day one of the flip-flop season.

Which means, Starbucks is celebrating, duh.

This summer, they're giving us fruity, twisty, pretty delicious looking frappuccinos.

Two new frapps entered our Starbucks menus yesterday, the Berry Prickly Pear Frappuccino blended Creme beverage, and the Mango Pineapple Frappuccino blended Creme beverage.

Starbucks lists the Berry Prickly Pear Frapp as:

a mango Frappuccino blended Crème is poured over a strawberry and prickly pear fruit puree which, in addition to strawberry, also features subtle notes of hibiscus, passionfruit and lime. The drink is finished with another layer of berry prickly pear fruit puree for a beautifully layered blended beverage."

And the Mango Pineapple Frapp as:

a mango Frappuccino blended Crème, poured over a mango-pineapple puree, which displays tropical flavors of juicy mango, pineapple and a hint of lime. It is finished with another layer of mango pineapple puree for additional fruit flavor."

The biggest downside for me is that these frapps have no caffeine.

However, they look super appealing to kids, so the no caffeine thing might be a blessing in disguise.

I also plan on taking my niece, Madeline, to get one and trying hers while I drink an iced skinny mocha with toffee nut syrup.
