Rockford Restaurant Damaged in Fire Needs Our Help to Rebuild
A GoFundMe page has been set up for Magpie after the restaurant was part of a fire in downtown Rockford last July.
Stephanie Caltagerone is the owner, chef and creator of Magpie, a Rockford restaurant she opened in late 2015.
That restaurant was part of a fire in downtown Rockford last July that took down an entire building that Magpie shared a wall with.
Now Stephanie is working to bring her restaurant back to us, but that means a lot of repair, and a lot of money.
She's set up a GoFundMe page to get Magpie back to Rockford. While she still isn't sure if it's possible to rebuild in the same location, she is determined to bring Magpie back somewhere downtown.
She's already raised $700 and received messaged from local businesses willing to help her rebuild.
