Rockford Police Make Arrest In Connection With Robberies

Rockford Police have arrested a man they believe was involved in the reported robberies of two local businesses this week.

Bryce P. Buczynski, 19, has been charged with aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery.

According to police, the Mobil gas station in the 2600 block of Broadway was robbed by a white male on Oct. 19. Two days later, a white male attempted to rob the Walgreens in the 2300 block of Charles St.

Police said the suspect indicated he had a gun and demanded money during both incidents.

Buczynski is being held at the Winnebago County Jail in lieu of bond.
