Rockford Park District Announces 2016 Employee of the Year

The Rockford Park District held a special employee excellence ceremony on Tuesday where they announced their 2016 Park District Employee and Team of the Year, so now you'll have to excuse me while I brag on my brother for a minute.

Yep, this is my little brother, and I am so very proud of him.

In my family, Kyle is the hard-working and sensitive one, while I'm the smart and sassy one. (Right, Mom and Dad?) He is a kind and loving husband and father, and has always given 110% as a Rockford Park District employee ever since he was 15 and started as a grounds keeper at Magic Waters.

He often sacrifices time with family to fix problems, avoid crises, or recently, making a ton of snow for the Snow Park at Alpine Hills and annual Illinois Snow Sculpting Competition at Sinnissippi Park. He sets a shining example for his son and daughter, and I am so thankful my girls get to call him, Uncle Kyle.

Ok, I'm done bragging now. Congratulations Kyle, you certainly deserve this award, and we are so proud of you!
