A Rockford organization, Rockford Urban Ministries, is looking to keep children's books out of the landfills and recycle them for sale in their first used book sale. If you have children's book lying around the house or stuffed away in the attic that obviously aren't being read you can bring them to Just Goods Gallery, 201 N. 7th Street, to be added into the sale.

WREX reports that the children's used book sale will start Monday, September 21st and run through the end of the month at Just Goods Gallery.

All books will be priced under 25 cents and range in the reading levels from young children to young adult.

Rockford Urban Ministries Executive Director Stanley Campbell says it's their [organizations] hope to "recycle the material so they don't end up in a landfill,"  plus "you get some nice vintage items that might otherwise be thrown away."
