Rockford Now Has a New Ginormous American Flag

As you travel one of Rockford's busiest roads, you will now notice a giant American Flag waving at you as you drive along the east side of town. However, is it a traffic distraction?

Over the weekend, right in front of the new Gander Mountain Store on Perryville Rd, Rockford motorists noticed a new roadside addition, a giant American flag.

Social media has been filled with Rockford residents and visitors posting photos of old glory. Most have been praising the new flag, but others have been wondering if it is against the law.

Many communities have banned oversized large flags because because they are considered a traffic distraction. Here's another look at it....is it too big?
