There is indeed a weird smell across the forest city and here are what some Rockfordians are attributing to said stank. Here are some of the best responses that you can't help but laugh at.

As for me, I think it's pet owner not picking up after their dog. You know what I'm talking about.

Perhaps the most truly legitimate response comes from Darrin H.

Cold air holding down methane fumes from the dump with a breeze from the south dragging it into rockford . But worse than normal .. I ripped open a lil.tree airfreshner on my way to work this morning. And that's bad cause my drive is barely over a mile ..

Whatever the reason behind Rockford's odor situation if anyone can find out why it's happening it's Kristen Crowley. Surely we'll be learning more in an upcoming segment of "Digging Deeper."
