Rockford Needs Your Help Finding the Perfect Christmas Tree

Rockford's Stroll on State is set for Saturday, November 26, 2016, and the city is currently searching for the crown jewel of the whole celebration, the beautifully lit Christmas tree. 

If you have a huge Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce or Fir tree in your yard that you would like to see fill a higher purpose, you need to let Go Rockford know right now.

My parent's neighbor donated their huge fir tree a couple years back for the celebration, and it was the treat of a lifetime for my young nephew Kamden to watch all the guys with their big chainsaws and trucks come cut it down. In fact, Kam loved it so much he asked Santa for a chainsaw that year. Thank goodness The Home Depot makes a toy version.
