Rockford Home Burglarized in Broad Daylight With Children Present

Just another reason why we should NEVER open our doors to unexpected visitors.

It's stories like these that make me thankful for our home security system, and feel a little less guilty about ignoring strangers that ring our doorbell. I'm totally the person who will be sitting on the couch in front of the window watching you stand at my front door while making no attempt to get up to answer it. Sorry, not sorry. If I don't know you, or am not expecting you, you're not coming in. You can never be too careful, especially with young kiddos in the house. Case in point right here...

Learning that the police believe this incident was intentionally focused on the victim makes me feel slightly better, but situations like this NEED TO STOP IN ROCKFORD. We may not be able to take criminals like this over our knees personally, but we can start to fight back by helping police get them off the street.
