Rockford Bashed By Huge Hail

This was the scene two weeks ago when we got rain, snow, and hail dropped on us. Honestly, yesterday put that day to shame. Susan-Tyler had a nice surprise waiting for her in the yard...

But those little specs in her yard are nothing compared to the pieces that dropped near Chicago Rockford International Airport. Check this out...

That is crazy! Those are the chunks of hail that kill people. It is amazing that no one was hurt. At least, I have not heard of anyone getting hurt. Fingers crossed. After posting this picture to the Q98.5 facebook page, more photos kept coming in.

Luckily, someone was able to capture video of the storm. Unfortunately for them, it looks like they don't have a garage. Their vehicles got pounded.

Mother Nature's raw power is a sight to behold. Between raging fires, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, or anything else I am not thinking of at the moment, she puts on quite the show. Mankind likes to think we are in control. She comes to remind us how wrong we really are.
