If you have ever been a victim of online hacking, then you will find some comfort in this story.

It seems that during the holidays, people like to take advantage of others and that includes scamming people online. One local teen has said enough is enough and fought back.

WIFR TV has a story about 17 year old Devon Betts of South Beloit. He saw how many people were being scammed and wanted to do something about it.

"I also was kind of inspired by YouTube user Jim Browning and I was watching one of his videos. I got inspired to do this and help spread the awareness of scamming."

So he set up a dummy computer and let hackers take it over. He then decided to play stupid and let it go on for a little bit. Then, he notified the hackers that they were caught and their identity was known.

This teen has set up a team that is worldwide. From Europe to Australia, he has people keeping an eye on the internet.
