The levels of the Rock River have dropped and, therefore, the 'no wake order' has been lifted as of 9:00 AM, July 14th.

Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana wants to remind those on the waters to play it safe by remembering these tips.

As always, caution should be exercised in all areas when enjoying the river. Limit alcohol consumption and be aware of other boaters.

River updates are always available by calling the Rock River information line, (815) 319-6444, or Winnebago County Sheriff's office, (815) 391-6300.
