The presidential election is just around the corner, and to help kids understand the process Rock Cut Elementary had the students vote and they picked the next president.

WIFR reports that the Loves Park school participated in a program called "Every Vote Counts" to help kids understand the election and political process and let them get to vote for president.

Of the 400 students who voted, "249 picked Hillary Clinton as our next president with 151 choosing Donald Trump."

Wow! I guess we'll have to wait and see if this is the indicator next week of the official presidential winner.

This is a really cool program. I remember getting to do that in school. We got to cast our vote for Reagan or Mondale. I thought it was really cool.

I wonder if this program "Every Vote Counts" replaced the old Weekly Reader? Remember, they used to base the election outcome with their presidential poll for kids to choose candidates. Hmmm???
