Did you know it takes less than a minute to for a hacker to break in to a mobile device? You need to be very wary of some "free WIFI" hot spots.

Earlier today, we reported on the dangers of using free Wi-Fi in popular public places around the world.  So that made us wonder, are we safe here in the Stateline area? The answer is, not always.

Sure, the fist thing most of do when traveling, is to look for free WI-FI. The tendency is to connect to the fist one you come across. Not a great idea.

Here's a tip, the internet site Skycure has an awesome AP that you can download to your smart phone to determine if a public free WI-FI network is safe. Skycure collects and analyzes data to determine mobile threat intelligence.

Here are Three risky WI-FI networks we found around the stateline, according to Skycure, connecting to these networks could result in leakage of your sensitive information.

These threats will surely increase, so check the site often. The problem is only going to get worse in the future as more and more individuals are carrying smartphones. Check, before you log-in.
