Sad news. Ghostbuster Harold Ramis, died Monday morning in Chicago from complications stemming from autoimmune disease. Harold began his career as a writer performer on SCTV (one of my Favorite TV Shows in the late 1970's and early 1980's) and who went on to appear on several episodes of The Office. He was 69.

In addition to Ghostbusters, Ramis appearred in Stripes, National Lampoon’s Vacation , Groundhog Day (directed as well) and As Good As It Gets.

Check out this clip of Harold Ramis from his SCTV Days! (Brings back some great memories)

Ramis was also a screenwriter. Did you know he wrote Animal House, Caddyshack, Stripes, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day? A Brilliant man!

He is survived by his wife Erica and sons Julian and Daniel.
