A famous Illinois landmark is facing an uncertain future as repairs to the structure have come to an halt.

If you've grown up around this area or spent time camping or visiting Laredo Taft when in school you most likely are familiar with Chief Blackhawk, who overlooks the Rock River in Oregon, IL.

According to WIFR News, the long awaited repairs to the crumbling statue that recently began have now come to a halt as their is a dispute over how those repairs should be done.

 

Meanwhile, the 105 year statute sits and once again weather the storms of not just mother nature but now human struggle of differing opinions.
