Here's your chance to donate and recycle your cell phones for soldiers thanks to Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful. Don't throw them away, give them to a U.S. Soldier. Here's how.

No matter where you live in the Stateline, remember to donate and recycle your cell phones to soldiers through Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful on Saturday, July 5.

KNIB will be collecting cell phones to donate to 'Cell Phones for Soldiers' at both KNIB recycling centers. The two Recycle Centers are at 13125 N. 2nd Street, Roscoe and 4665 Hydraulic Road, Rockford. Each is operated by volunteers year-round from 9 a.m. – Noon on Saturdays.

All cell phones collected will be donated to U.S. Soldiers overseas and at home. To me, donating a gentle used cell phone to a soldier so that they can call home, is the ultimate way to say thank you for our freedoms. Especially during 4th of July Weekend.
