August 26 is National Dog Day, and there is no better way to celebrate than by adopting a new furry family member to love!

National Dog Day has two goals: to honor dogs and all they do for us, and to rescue dogs from homelessness and abuse. Here's the perfect example of a dog desperately in need of a furever home. This is Chu-Cho, a 2-year-old male black Chihuahua who was recently surrendered to the animal shelter along with his brother, Chico, by their family who could no longer afford them.

Chu-Cho's world has been turned upside down, and he is scared. He needs a home and a loving lap and arms to hold and cuddle him.
