Who is ready for some baseball! The Rockford Rivets will take the field tonight at Rivets Stadium for their inaugural season at 6:35. The league they play in is called the Northwoods League. It was formed in 1994 as a way to see if college players can hit with a wood bat. Normally, college players use Aluminum bats at the plate.

The Rivets play a 72 game season, with 36 home games throughout the summer. Teams are based all over the Midwest, with a team based in Canada.

If you are a fan of baseball, and looking for some family fun, I would suggest heading to the ballpark this summer to check out this exciting team. Let's get out there and support our local team!
