DeKalb police have issued a community alert to it's residents regarding reports of several pellet gun incidents that have taken place in the Barb City.

In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, DeKalb police say that have been investigating several 'pellet gun incidents', where people walking have been it by pellet gun fire. The shootings have originated from individuals traveling in vehicles. Minor injuries have been reported.

Police also indicated that the pellet fire has caused some property damage.

The incidents occurred in the Northwest portion of the city and police say that different vehicles were used in the commission of these acts. Police did not indicate whether the same individual or multiple individuals are responsible.

Police are continuing their investigation but are also looking for help from the public. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the DeKalb Police Dept at 815-748-8400.
