By now you have probably heard about the new realistic "Lammily Doll" which is being called this holiday season's "it" toy, but here comes the shocker; kids actually like it!

When I first heard about this "normal Barbie," I thought it was a great idea for supporting positive body image in young girls. Her stick on pimples and stretch marks and more realistic body proportions all make her more relatable to kids today. Awesome for self esteem, but I couldn't help but wonder: Will we be forcing our kids to play with a "weird" doll that will just sit in the toy box unused?

Turns out, I was wrong. Yay!

Perhaps the success of a pimpled doll this holiday season will actually help us begin to turn around the warped body images of kids today? I sure hope so!
