Missing 5 Year Old’s Body Has Been Found

Last week we shared a horrifying story of a 5 year old who was missing when the canoe she and 3 others were in went over the Steel Dam in Milan, IL.

Today we share sad news. The missing child's body was discovered in the Mississippi River.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Chavez family over the loss of their little girl Maci Jade. (WQAD).

WQAD reports that a passerby "driving on 78th Avenue West in Andalusia, Illinois saw Maci and called 9-1-1. The Illinois DNR, Rock Island County Sheriff's Department, Rock Island County Coroner, and Andalusia Fire Department all responded."

I feel for this family. I'm glad they found her and have a bit of closure. Mow I just pray for healing and strength as they come to terms in losing their little girl in the dawn of her life.
